BRUSSELS, 2 November 2016 – WSBI will lead a panel session during the two-day Second African Conference on Remittances and Postal Networks set for 15-16 November in Abidjan.
The panel will focus on Postal Public-Private partnerships and present concerning efforts made to improve partnerships between Postal Financial Institutions and Money Transfer Operators.
The two-day event is organized within the framework of the African Postal Financial Services Initiative (APFSI), which is funded by the European Commission and in which WSBI is an APFSI partner along with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), the Universal Postal Union (UPU), and the World Bank.
A Steering Committee meeting will be held during day two on the sidelines of the conference between the partners and the European Commission to review final achievements before the program formally ends on 31 December.
