BRUSSELS, 18 April 2018 – The latest WSBI Exhange news roundup explains how more than 400 policymakers, WSBI member banks and stakeholders tried to answer sustainable finance question during  a WSBI conference held on 21 March in Argentina. Held on the sidelines of the 2018 G20 Argentine Presidency in Buenos Aires, the meeting explored the role WSBI member banks play to create a more stable banking system, more inclusive economies and a greener future.

The speaker lineup featured WSBI President Heinrich Haasis, Diego Prieto Rivera from Banco Caja Social in Colombia, as well as La Caixa Foundation President Isidro Fainé. The three honed in on G20 key themes on the future of the workforce and infrastructure. Panels followed, taking aim at G20 topics like sustainable finance.

WSBI reaches out to G20 leaders to share the savings retail banks story. It advocates for banking rules are better tailored to their locally focused model, like SME financing and financial inclusion. A detailed look at WSBI's positions to the G20 are on the WSBI website.
