BRUSSELS, 8 September 2015 – Pride Microfinance Limited has opened a Shs 6.8bn home in Bukoto, expected to act as both the company’s headquarters and branch there.
Managing Director Veronica Namagembe said that Pride Microfinance had grown its clientele base to more than 421,000 customers all over the country, most of which were small and medium enterprises. She added that the microfinance had grown its loan book to the tune of Shs 1.1 trillion.
According to Namagembe, Pride Microfinance controls 53 per cent of the microfinance and deposit-taking Institutions (MDIs) market.
