​​​​​BRUSSELS, 5 January 2015 – A paper released recently by Menon Research Economics describes the consequences of new banking regulation for banking competition and industry in Western Norway. 

Norway stands indeed out from the European Union, marked by stricter​ requirements for how much capital a bank must hold per loan and how the equity ratio is to be calculated.
