Ugandan WSBI member launches mobile phone banking app

​​​​BRUSSELS, 16 April 2015 –​ PostBank Uganda has recently introduced a new mobile phone banking application which will enable its clients to access banking services on their mobile phones. This app, named PBU mobile app, has been designed for customers with Android system but it is expected to be operative in every mobile system in the near future.

Postbank Uganda has noticed their customers used to move for long distances just to go to the nearest branch to check their bank balances, especially at the end of the month when expecting their salaries. With this solution, customers save on transport and time by accessing the service using the phone. To activate this service, customers must go to their nearest branch to subscribe for the mobile phone banking services. After registration, customers can access the PostBank Uganda Application and install it on their android device – phone or tablet.

With this new app customers will be able to check account balances, transfer funds, pay bills and purchase items, among other transactions, within the comfort of their homes. Because of the growth of internet services across the country, PostBank Uganda is ready to provide online solutions for customers in the diaspora, serving their customers securely within the country and also beyond the borders of Uganda.
