FDIC’s Hoenig Urges Relief for ‘Traditional’ Banks
​​​BRUSSELS, 30 June 2015 ​ FDIC Vice Chairman Thomas Hoenig proposed regulatory relief for traditional banks that pass a four-part test. In an American Banker op-ed published June 22, Hoenig said well-capitalized banks that don’t engage in complex financial instruments should be eligible for capital, call report and examination relief.
