U.S. looks to boost better cybersecurity information sharing

WSBI U.S. member ICBA says President Obama cybersecurity proposal designed to promote better cybersecurity information sharing between public, private sectors

                                   

​​​WASHINGTON, 23 January 2015 –  In his recent State of the Union address, President Barack Obama outlined his cybersecurity legislative proposal designed to promote better cybersecurity information sharing between the public and private sectors.

The proposal encourages the private sector to share appropriate cyber-threat information with the Department of Homeland Security’s National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center, which will then share it with relevant federal agencies and private-sector Information Sharing and Analysis Organizations. The plan would provide targeted liability protection for companies that share information with these entities. This and other information from WSBI’s U.S.
