BRUSSELS, 19 October 2016 – ESBG participated on 10 October in the international session organised in Laax, Switzerland by the European Youth Parliament in order to gather "young and innovative ideas for a sustainable future".
In addition to mentioning the belief of savings and retail banks in this initiative during the opening ceremony, ESBG provided expertise to the committee in charge of addressing sustainable finance and investment. The outcome of this committee's work, undertaken by highly-motivated young students from all over Europe, will take the form of resolutions which will be shared with European decision-makers.
ESBG will continue to offer its support to this unique opportunity for young people to debate the current political and economic challenges, and to forge their views as citizens willing to contribute to a strong and ambitious Europe. ESBG and its German member DSGV have been partners of the European Youth Parliament since 2011 by supporting the EYP International Sessions.
