Shares positions on Basel IV, digitisation, sustainable finance.

BRUSSELS, 29 June 2018 – A delegation from the ESBG membership met yesterday with EU policymakers during an informal working lunch at the European Parliament in Brussels. Representatives of the European Parliament, the European Commission, the European Banking Authority, the European Central Bank and the European Economic and Social Committee joined ESBG representatives and members to exchange on major regulatory issues and the policy files that are currently shaping the future of retail banking.
Topics included the risk reduction measures package, the Basel IV impact assessment, digitalisation in the retail financial services area and sustainable finance were the main topics of the working lunch.
A special position paper on these topics was published by the ESBG and distributed to policymakers and regulators who attended the meeting.
