WSBI continues to support Global Money Week

An annual youth financial education campaign, Global Money Week (GMW) inspires children and young people to learn about money matters, livelihoods and entrepreneurship.

Why?

Coordinated by the OECD International Network on Financial Education (OECD/INFE)Global Money Week provides the perfect chance for financial institutions to work together and partner with others outside the financial sector and to teach youth and young people about money matters.

When?

The 2020 Global Money Week (GMW) was initially scheduled to take place taking place during the week of 23-29 March. Due to the worsening Covid-19 outbreak, the Global Money Week secretariat decided that out of the safety of all participants as well as global solidarity and responsibility, Global Money Week celebrations were postponed to a later date to be determined. In case institutions decided to continue with the organisation of the Global Money Week 2020 as scheduled, please inform GMW_Secretariat@oecd.org.

How does it work?

Resources that guide you in planning or promoting your Global Money Week can be found on the GMW website

In some countries, local government authorities lead GMW. WSBI strongly encourages financial institutions to get in contact with INFE member institutions in their country. Otherwise, explore the GMW website for country overviews and find your local partners.
