WORKSHOP IN DAR ES SALAAM ON 25TH & 26TH MAY 2015:

“LEADING IN TIMES OF CHANGES”

Leading in times of changes is not only focusing on what you as a leader or manager plan to accomplish, but how you will lead and manage others to get there.
Leadership here is viewed under the angle of the objective. Certain objectives will require skills and behaviours that are familiar to you and some others which are not: we call these the ‘blind spots’ or potentials. The seminar will provide general examples, business cases and games that will help you identify your leadership skills and potentials, you will then experiment how to use both in order to align your purpose and actions to the situation and objectives you pursue and you will ultimately learn how to optimize your leadership and management style whoever the people or the situation you are dealing with.

Through this seminar you can also expect to improve your ability to communicate effectively, increase your impact at work and in front of a community, enhance management effectiveness, and raise productivity.

The seminar is tailored for executives, managers including project managers looking to dramatically increase leadership capacity and the ability to produce results.

First morning WHAT KIND OF A LEADER AM I?

Many executives and managers manage in function of objectives. Yet many find difficult to explain why they are more or less successful throughout their career.  Actually they often lack the necessary self-knowledge they need to deal efficiently with different situations and better engage people to reach the objectives.

Through the identification of your personality type, the current session will help you highlighting your leadership and management style. Though it will not explain everything about your unique personality, it will show where you find your energy, how you take decision, and how your structure and deal with your environment. It will provide you with informed decisions about your own leadership and management preferences.

The personality type is based on Carl Jung’s works, which has been further developed by Isabelle Myers and Catherine Briggs and is best known under the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (or MBTI).

LUNCH

First afternoon - HOW DO I MANAGE?  And do I manage as successfully as I would like?

Second morning HOW CAN I BETTER IMPACT PEOPLE AND MY ENVIRONMENT
How to use your strengths and potentials to optimize your leadership style

The 12 leadership lenses: these are the tasks and attitudes of successful leaders and managers. Your personality type leads you to focus on certain leadership and management preferred lenses like for examples, outcomes and results, or people and harmony or planning and organisation. But should planning prevent you from being flexible, or the other way around? Is it because that you are results oriented that you cannot listen to people and consider their opinions? Actually good leadership and management style require you to find a balance between those management polarities.

HOW TO LEVERAGE THESE POLARITIES IN ORDER TO IMPROVE YOUR LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT STYLE IN YOUR DAY TO DAY WORK:
