The Joint Office of the European Savings and Retail Banking Group (ESBG) and the World Savings and Retail Banking Institute (WSBI) is looking for a creative and proactive JUNIOR COMMUNICATIONS ADVISER (M/F/D) to help drive the outreach activities of both associations. This position is ideal for a digital native who has already gained some experience in the world of finance and/or associations and wants to make the next step forward in an innovative and highly reputable institution.

The position involves the following responsibilities:

  • Contributing to and executing the WSBI-ESBG communications strategy;

  • Managing and creating content for the WSBI-ESBG social media channels;

  • Project management of the relaunch of our website in cooperation with agencies and service providers;

  • Planning and drafting campaigns on- and offline, articles, press releases, e-newsletters, publications, brochures & ensuring the language, layout and graphic design quality and consistency of WSBI-ESBG communications;

  • Measuring and reporting on the success of marketing campaigns, outreach efforts and social media performance; suggesting improvements;

  • Maintaining and updating distribution lists for e-newsletters, digital and printed publications;

  • Supporting other WSBI-ESBG departments with communications efforts when necessary.


  • University graduate in a relevant field (communications, public relations, journalism or similar) with relevant work experience;

  • Excellent English (working language), fluent in French, a third EU language is a distinct advantage;

  • Strong digital skills and proven expertise and knowledge of Twitter and LinkedIn; as well as content management systems and/or digital marketing tools;

  • Understanding of the functioning of the EU policy making;

  • Audio-visual content creation and/or graphic design skills is a plus;

  • Flexibility, proactivity, team spirit, ability to work independently;

  • Experience in financial sector development outside of the EU is a plus.
