​Adviser on Sustainable Finance

The job involves the following:

 

  • Monitoring the developments at EU level in the field of sustainable finance, and informing the Members of WSBI/ESBG about these developments;
  • Preparing common positions by gathering the views of ESBG/WSBI Members;
  • Representing the interests of ESBG/WSBI Members with regard to sustainable finance;
  • Liaising with authorities and stakeholders, both at EU and global level: e.g. European Commission, European Parliament, Council Presidency, European Banking Authority (EBA), European Central Bank (ECB), UNEP-FI, Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS);
  • It is possible that the Adviser will additionally be working on a few other files (for instance in the prudential and capital markets areas).

Profile:

 

  • Experience of 2-3 years in banking/financial services;
  • Ideally, some experience in advocacy work;
  • Good political, strategic and overall understanding of sustainable finance;
  • Understanding of the EU law-making environment and decision-making process;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a multi-cultural environment;
  • Perfect command in English, other EU languages are an asset.
